James and the Giant Peach On Sunday, Year 3 went to the theatre. We watched the stage production of the Roald Dahl classic 'James and the Giant Peach.’ It is the story of an orphan who has been sent to live with his disgusting and vile spinster aunts in their equally vile house on top of a hill. Lazy and cruel, they make their little nephew’s life a misery, until one day, something fantastically wonderful happens. Through music, dance and comedy (not to mention a flying peach), James and his new found insect friends made an extraordinary journey which was fraught with enemies, dangers and excitement, taking them halfway around the world in a giant peach. It was a real treat to be able to watch this acclaimed West End show that has been adapted for stage by David Wood.
